Terms of Service

Last updated: March 6, 2026

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of liltype, a macOS dictation application, and the website at liltype.com (collectively, the “Service”), operated by Namuh, Inc. (“we”, “us”, or “our”).

By downloading, installing, or using liltype, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Description of Service

liltype is an offline-first dictation application for macOS. It uses on-device speech recognition (powered by Whisper) to transcribe your voice into text. The Service includes optional paid tiers that provide additional features such as cloud-based speech-to-text, CLI agent integrations, and managed cloud transcription.

2. Accounts

Certain features require you to create an account by signing in with Google or Apple. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and for all activities that occur under it. You must provide accurate information when creating your account.

3. Subscriptions and Billing

liltype offers free and paid subscription tiers. Paid subscriptions are billed through Stripe on a monthly or yearly basis. By subscribing, you authorize us to charge your payment method on a recurring basis until you cancel.

4. BYO API Keys

Certain features allow you to use your own API keys for third-party services (e.g., Deepgram for cloud speech-to-text). These keys are stored locally on your device. We never see, store, transmit, or proxy your API keys. Your use of third-party services is subject to their respective terms and pricing.

5. Intellectual Property

The liltype application, website, and all associated content are owned by Namuh, Inc. and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You retain full ownership of all text and content you create using liltype.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

7. Disclaimers

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that transcription results will be accurate, complete, or error-free.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Namuh, Inc. shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, arising from your use of the Service. Our total aggregate liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.

9. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time for violation of these Terms. You may stop using the Service at any time. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately, but provisions that by their nature should survive (such as limitations of liability) will remain in effect.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by updating the “Last updated” date above. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.
