Home tab

The launch/control center:

Dictionary tab

Custom vocabulary for better recognition.

Use this for:

  • names
  • product terms
  • acronyms
  • team/internal words

Tip: Add terms exactly as you want them output.

Clipboard tab

Search and reuse previous transcription outputs.

  • browse history
  • copy previous output
  • pin or preserve high-value snippets (if enabled)
  • clear history when needed

Sequential paste

With clipboard history enabled, you can replay past entries in sequence:

  • configure a sequential-paste hotkey in Settings → Advanced
  • trigger the hotkey repeatedly to cycle through recent outputs
  • a configurable sequence timeout resets the position after inactivity

Sessions tab

Meeting/session workflow surface:

  • record session audio (mic + system audio simultaneously)
  • monitor live transcript with speaker labels
  • stop + summarize
  • optional speaker/presentation controls
  • export/share outputs (when enabled)

Agent workspace integration

When an agent session is linked to a meeting recording, liltype auto-syncs the latest transcript segments to the agent workspace (debounced 500 ms). Supported companion types: Claude, Codex, Gemini, Custom.

Transport can be ACP, CLI, or Automatic (liltype picks based on what is detected).

Recording window styles

Available recording overlays:

  • Classic: larger waveform + status text
  • Mini: compact capsule
  • None: no floating overlay

Choose based on visibility vs distraction.

Output behavior

By default:

  1. transcription result goes to clipboard
  2. optional auto-paste inserts into focused app (if enabled + Accessibility granted)

If the target app loses focus during transcription, liltype falls back to a notification instead of pasting.

Recording feedback

While recording, liltype shows:

  • live waveform level meter
  • elapsed recording time

Press Escape at any time to cancel and discard the current recording without transcribing.

Meeting capture

Automatic detection watches for supported apps (Zoom, Teams, FaceTime, WebEx, Discord, Slack). When a monitored app is detected, liltype can:

  • prompt you to start a session
  • auto-start recording
  • or notify without prompting

Session notes auto-save every 500 ms and orphaned drafts from interrupted sessions are recovered on next session start.

Speaker diarization

Speakers are labeled heuristically (e.g., "You", "Speaker 1", "Speaker 2"). You can rename speakers in the session view. The confidence threshold for diarization is configurable in Settings → Meeting.

Audio artifact retention

liltype can optionally save audio files locally for review:

  • Dictation audio: off by default
  • Meeting audio: on by default

Configure in Settings → Privacy. Audio is never uploaded to liltype infrastructure.
